SA:Swans attacked on the Murray
ADELAIDE, Dec 16 AAP - The RSPCA is investigating a report of two young swans being
run down and killed by men on jet skis on the River Murray, east of Adelaide.
Chief RSPCA inspector Simon Richards said witnesses saw two men run down the cygnets
near Murray Bridge last week.
One of the birds died instantly and the other soon afterwards.
"This was a savage and deliberate attack on two defenceless young animals," Mr Richards said.
He said the RSPCA was looking for the two men involved who were seen leaving the area
in a houseboat.
