NSW: Winds force cancellation of early fireworks
The early evening fireworks display at Sydney Harbour has been cancelled.
Strong winds forced the cancellation of the show which is attracted thousands of families
with young children into the city.
A spokeswoman for the organisers says they were cancelled because of high winds butthe midnight show would go ahead.
The spokeswoman says the 9pm fireworks are cancelled due to high winds.
She says at this stage the 12 midnight show is going ahead.
