Sarah Kandath, So., Albany Academy for Girls
Kandath, a sophomore, followed in the footsteps of her older brother Matt by winning the Section II individual title as a 10th grader. She swept through the regular season with a 19-0 mark. Not only did she go unbeaten in the section, Kandath never lost a set in what proved to be a dominating campaign from start to finish. Like Matt, now a senior and two-time defending boys' state champion, Sarah is in position to win three individual championships in the section.
